Things to consider when using a PC for your audio (if you think you have noise problem with your sound):
1. Replacing HDD with SSD (noisy hard disk drive by quiet solid state drive)
2. getting fanless cooling
3. external PSU or very quiet internal power supply unit
4. If you use an external DAC+AMP, ground lifting your amplification using a cheater plug (3 to 2 prong). That is unsafe (you should only do it for testing, it might even be against the law where you live) but If that increases sound quality get an EbTech Hum exterminator instead.
5. If you use USB cables, get shielded USB cables protected against interferences
6. consider a USB signal cleaner such as Schiit Wyrd or Uptone Regen.
7. USB to SPDIF converter like the Schiit EITR is said to give huge sound improvement.
8. Upgrade your power cables as well
9. Upgrade your Ethernet cables to Cat 6a. Very important. Not 6. 6a. Those are shielded against noises.
