The Server Saga Continues

Our host is a little slow in updating their process for server updates, so we'll not be updating the server immediately after an announced release.

This will probably cause an issue connecting, as Steam will auto-update the client. Those who bought through the Eco website should be unaffected unless they manually update.

_If you are unable to connect_

Steam will update your client anyway, so to bring it back in line with the current server version:

1. Open your Steam INSTALLED library
2. Right click on Eco
3. Choose PROPERTIES
4. Choose BETA tab (far right)
5. Select the client version that matches the client.

It's a quick and painless process.

For those who download from the dev site, you'll probably have to hold off on updating, or keep your previous installs around in case you need to roll back.

Server issues with 7.2.1.

This morning Arkenor found a discrepancy between what he was seeing and what he expected to see as a result of the latest 7.2.1 update.

As of 10:30 AM on 3/7, we're trying to figure out where the failure occurred. The update was performed using the host's automated system because they block certain files that would allow us to perform the update manually via FTP.

The current surgical fix has Ark manually uploading the config files from his local and verified 7.2.1 server implementation.

Update: Ark re-ran the server updater and that SEEMS to have updated the expected files.

The server will continue to be offline until we can get this sorted. We don't want to start with 1/2 a server, as that could be an indication that many underlying mechanics aren't sitting right.

Hey guys,

I'm having a little trouble logging into the server. Both yesterday and today I've attempted to 'continue' and have received an incompatible version error.

In both cases, Steam updated Eco prior to running. Has the server been updated today?
