What's next, CodeHatch finishes StarForge and Peter Molyneux finishes Godus?
Long story short, stick with Windows 10 as long as you can and hope everyone is having a fantastic holiday season!
Thanks for updating your curation! Mike and I have been heads down for the last few weeks, and we just published our 2021 Halloween Event!
We're moving quickly toward full release, but we'll probably do a Christmas Event before that happens. :D
I hope your health condition improves soon. And feel free to let us know if you ever want to take us up on the free key, and try out the game! :D
All the best,
Jim
Thank you very much for bringing this to my attention and my apologies for the late reply. A few days ago, I updated the curation to reflect the return to active status and will monitor the further development progress going forward. While I appreciate the kind offer for a key, I am currently in poor health condition to review products outside monitoring development progress and waiting for a new computer to bring me back to moderate work flow. I do apologize for the delay again and very happy to see work has resumed on your game. I wish your team all the best and good luck on the road to full release.
Our game (https://psteamproxy.yuanyoumao.com/app/1004170/The_Truck_Game/) is currently listed as "Abandonware", and we definitely took a hiatus, so thank you for calling us out on that! :D
But, we're back! We just released an update, and we've got more in the works! We hope you'll take that into account and update your review! :D
All the best,
Jim and Mike
PS: We're happy to provide a steam key if you'd like to review the latest version --- especially if you've got children in our target age group (4-7).
Thank you very much for bringing this to my attention and my deepest apologies it took this long to adjust the curation. I am currently in the process of getting everything up to date again (the last year being very volatile), and I have yet to start on the second curator. I see you had an update on June 4th, 2020 and made a correction to the curate to account for the period of silence between the April 20th, 2019 update and June 4th, 2020 (with attention brought to the lack of communication between that time). I have seen the last few updates (while noticing the communication regulated to the update reports), and therefore made the adjustment. Once more, I am very sorry it took this long for the update, it should have at least been addressed last November at the latest.
I noticed my game is listed as abandoned but that is definitely not the case. I've been putting out updates on a regular basis. The game is The Desert's Rose https://psteamproxy.yuanyoumao.com/app/935110/The_Deserts_Rose/
I look forward to your review! Thanks again.
Thank you very much for bringing this to my attention. I have updated the review and apologize for the inconsistency in the wording. It is good to see they finally released a public build last month after two years and that their development branch picked up, especially with the drought prior to September 2020. I apologize for taking so long to update the curate.
Your curator says that the game has been abandoned and there have been no updates for many years. But updates to this game are constantly being released and the developer is actively working on the game.
Thank you for the information! I saw they recently left the early access program and planning to spend some time with it to update the curate this weekend. Currently exploring Gloria Victis and Breathedge again, as well as tackling some I have had on the back burner (plus Cartel Tycoon...). Add the other curate updates and things are a bit tight, but please know I am aware and trying to get a few games in to see if the balancing was improved!
Thank you for letting me know about the release of your game out of early access. Congratulations on the achievement! I took a look at the update history and communication logs (which have not changed until January 30th, 2021) and updated the curate to reflect it. While I cannot remove the warning (generally only can if the status is based on hiatus reflected by routine communication), but I did update it to reflect the status prior to your release of the game so as to reflect it no longer being abandoned. I wish you great luck in the future and thank you once again for letting me know.
Thank you so much for the kind words and the thoughtful gift on my profile. It means a lot to hear, especially in this somewhat conflicting time. I plan to start up again in full this week, while trying out the new method of dealing with the curates. I don't know how much longer I will be doing all of this, but I will do my best to keep at it as long as I can.
Thank you again and hope you had a wonderful start to the year!
Just wanted to say thanks again for your all your hard work all these years and wish you a happy new year!
Sent you a small token of appreciation on your profile.
Thanks a ton!
Thank you very much for taking the time out to discuss this issue regarding your game! I greatly appreciate the further information regarding your game's development, and with the clarification, updated the curation. I am happy to hear the game will be using the same AppID (have seen cases were games used two when dealing with an overhaul or after a long period of no development/new developers) and also happy to see the development has been going smoothly in at least the beta build (see the public build was finally updated on October 28th, 2020 following a drought from March 23rd, 2018). I wish you luck in the final stretch of development and thank you again for bringing this to my attention!
Thank you I'Original for taking the time to respond as well!
"Previously Abandonware - Period: March 23, 2018 to October 11, 2019 (Communication on December 3rd, 2018 spoke of an overhaul for 1.0 using different store page, placing this version of to the side)."
The announcement in question appears to be this one:
https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/games/652050/announcements/detail/1719709266088350045
I would suggest a small edit on that announcement to indicate it as outdated information and to state your current plans (just in case someone finds it via search engine, old forum post, etc). Other than that, from what I can see your development looks like it's going well now, so the curator listing could be changed to reflect that better situation, and I wish you well for your upcoming release.
I found your comment made about my game that used old information I announced around the time I started developing the overhauled version of my game (I can't find the comment anymore when I search the discussions but it shows up on my curator list so perhaps you removed the comment?). At the time I was unsure whether I was going to release the overhauled version separately from the original version but ultimately decided I would just leave the game as a single project and wouldn't release a separate version.
My game has made tons of progress and is actually very close to full release out of Early Access! I'd love for you to give it another shot and see what you think. Thank you for your time (:
Thank you very much for your communication! I remember the game in question, but was kind of thrown off after seeing the release date updated to January 1st, 2020 over the original January 26th, 2019 date. I am sorry to hear your team fell apart and I sympathize with the situation, but I am afraid I am still going to need to keep the current listing on the game due to the last public update being January 28th, 2019, which is over the 1 year grace period I give with communication (last I see being the April 4th, 2020 message titled "The game is not dead or abandoned.")
Thank you so much for the kind words and for following the reviews for all these years! It means a lot to hear that and I am happy that it has helped. As for the suggestion, I will think about it. I might be able to add the link to the last communication using the review link option that is provided below each curate. If I do, I could implement it during the next abandonware/hiatus revision. It is a great suggestion though and one that could be done! I hope you have a wonderful weekend and thank you for your support!
Might I add a suggestion, is to link the last communication devs provided on your comment, just to make it easier for us to see what you saw as well.
Thank you so much for your hard work!
Thank you very much for letting me know! I went ahead and updated the curate to reflect the release out of early access and address the complete lack of activity while in the program.
I apologize for the delayed reply, the past week has been insane here. The past six months have been a bit, unconventional for me and left me missing a lot of releases out of early access. I plan to do a quick sweep to fix that once I finish up the abandonware/hiatus additions this month. Normally, the curate is changed to reflect the changes provided. In some cases, I just remove the curate, but in the case of the game I believe you are referencing, I will change it to reflect the unfinished nature of some of the content. I am just testing the new changes to the netcode recently released and I feel awful not doing so when it released in April (especially with an unfinished story mode). So in short: generally change the curate if needed, stays the same if nothing changed, removed if it no longer is applicable.
I have a curation up in regards to GoatPunks on my other curate that focuses more on abandonware warning. GoatPunks' status has been known for awhile and has been listed as abandonware for the past two and a half years. This is about as much as I can do in this case, though agree their practice of silently leaving without updating or announcing why is pretty scummy. It happens a lot, one of the more recent examples being Zombie Crisis: Last One Standing. Thank you for bringing this to my attention though.
Thank you as well I'Original for the update regarding Medieval Engineers. I had a curate warning people about putting the game on the backburner to work on Space Engineers, but slightly tweaked it to reflect the release.
