I have now heard it all... Ok, maybe not all. I can't even tell you who they were, but they are on someone's friends list. lol Playing this evening, everyone had GREAT pings. I think this is the issue. People have been playing on crappy valve dedicateds for soo long, they don't know how a game is supposed to "feel" when you have low latency and great pings.

Why is it when people face someone who can play at a higher proficiency, they INSTANTLY think they cheat. Why does the server seem fishy? If you change a value on a server config, it doesn't change the value for ONE person, it changes it for EVERYONE. So a dedicated server treats everyone as impartially as it can. Given distance and hops from your home to the server, everyone is pretty even. Even someone with a 100 ping can play as well as someone with a 20 ping.

But no, we are a paranoid species. I can't fault people for not knowing how servers work if all they do is play multiplayer games. Most these days don't even know what dedicated servers are because people are migrating to console for their gaming pleasure.

Do me a favor.... If you feel my servers are " fishy " don't join, and if you think your friends are rage quitters, don't invite them. In fact, if you get on the server and think there is something strange..... Just leave. You aren't being held by gunpoint. We're just going to talk about how much of an idiot you were anyways.

It's hard enough playing the game these days with Pugs and pubs. It is even harder when your supposed "friend's " list is populated by ragers and haters. Even worse when your friends of friends do it to you.
