Nobody is actually obligated to show respect at any time, it's just something us cool people do. You're a hypocrite if you think you deserve respect but don't intend to show any.
I hope you enjoyed that free kill. When people like you attack me in the arena while I'm bowing, I don't fight back. You're not worth the effort, and you quite clearly need the win more than I do, if you must be rude.

I agree with CB on this one. If respect is not shown at the beginning of a match, respect does not need to be shown after. Next time this happens, just brush it off or start showing respect. I much like you CB did the "no way" gesture.

I am not obligated to bow respectfully at the beginning of a fight when I am cosplaying a thieft build. THere is no honor among thieves.

I feel like I should probably let you know (this is to the owner of this group) that if your opponent bows or gestures at the start of the fight, it's considered good etiquette to return a gesture back. Any gesture is fine. Don't swing at a person while they're bowing, either, that's slimy.
I got invited to this group because I did a "No way" gesture after I killed him.
