Possible to add new Trinkets/Quirks without overwriting base files?
I noticed that in the Crimson Court files, the trinkets, buffs, and various other files are listed as "crimson_court.whatever.json" instead of "base.whatever.json", meaning that the content in Crimson Court is added to the base content instead of overwriting it with a slightly longer list.

Is it possible to do something like that with our own mods? That way if, for example, we wanted to add new trinkets or quirks without changing existing ones, we could do so without conflicting with other similar mods?

Yes; to the best of my recollection you just replace "crimson_court" with your mod name. So if you had a mod where you made the internal name "trinkety_stuff", then to add onto the trinket list you'd make a file called "trinkety_stuff.trinkets.json".
