Custom hero graphics transparency issue

Hi there, try to make a certain part of a hero clothing transparent but it will turn into a white box instead despite being transparent in PNG. How do I make the system read the area as transparent?

I've had this problem as well.

Look under "Recommended Software" see "Important Information for Artists", it got some info about plugins and tools to fix the transparency.. that fixed it for me.

Mask trim and Alpha Color Remover from Tailibit's link is what I used when I did a quick dabble into DD modding a while ago and it seems to work as far as I could tell
