If you’ve been on the server in the last couple of days you may have noticed an abundance of cranes gracing downtown Ilmarinen. There’s no reason to be alarmed! We’re simply giving downtown a little bit of a facelift!

When originally built, Ilmarinen city centre was only ever intended to be a small collection of skyscrapers, but it has since evolved into the place people want to be to meet up and hang out; the cramped streets and closed spaces were not conductive to the social atmosphere that has evolved. The regenerations intend to change that.

Ilmarinen city hall and one empty skyscraper have been destroyed to make way for more wide open spaces and gardens, including the new Darn Blimps Hall of Fame and a memorial to the Battle of The End. The city hall is currently pending reconstruction at a location nearby.

The Spawn Zone and Update Square are also going to undergo changes soon, with the latter already having been merged with the docks surrounding it.

In unrelated news, please welcome Bdl2 (aka Cawfeh, or Flaw) who was recently promoted to operator status and is your other go-to-guy for any help, support or queries you may have. And congratulations too to DirkNL (aka Werewuffles) and HungryBuilder (aka Arashi) who have been promoted to VIP status. Use your powers wisely!

Well look here, we have yet another new website. Hopefully this one will stick around a bit longer than the last few, as I've made it pretty flexible for adaption and expansion.

With the new website we've made some minor changes. The server map and warps list have now been merged into a single page for your server navigation convenience. We've also added an about page for more detailed infomation on the server runnings, and for the first time ever we've written down our rules into a codified constitution of stuff. Don't get in trouble!

We now keep track of donations received to us on our donations page, so you know where your money is going and what we need in order to make ends meet. The website is not finished and changes will be made over time (that sidebar displeases me), but it's a pleasant start, don't you think?

In the last week, two Minecraft users who frequent the Darn Blimps server appear to have had thir accounts compromised by outside sources. Those accounts have been removed from the whitelist and will only be allowed to return when their rightful ownership can be confirmed.

This is a reminder to keep your passwords safe, use different passwords for different services and never tell them to anyone else or put them into strange websites.

If no donations (or not enough to cover the server bills) are received in the next two weeks, Darn Blimps will close.
