Quickplay is dead, this is a good thing.

Many users enjoyed quickplay, but there is one thing that made it a horrible way to join a TF2 server.

By default, quickplay would set you to join a server with random crits enabled. For a lot of people, they said that this was the sole reason that they would not turn off random crits. It would affect the popularity of their server and they would not be able to upkeep their server.

The times have changed now. There is no longer any such thing as quickplay. From the updates succeeding the MyM update, it doesn't appear that they have any agenda to add it back in. This means that the community servers that are highly populated today will not be affected by the turning off of random crits.

That's right, now people are just as likely to join a server if it has crits disabled as opposed to enabled. This group strives to start a movement: turn off random crits. Server operators have this entirely in their control.

it's funny cause it's impossible, i mean if people want to prevent themselves from getting crits, SURE! Sure man! Have it be a default setting! In fact taht could bea middle ground!

XD Das funny. So you want a middle gorund huh? Bring back Arena. I know medics who disliked crits and they played thatgame mode all the time! What's that? Arena is dead? THE MIDDLE GROUND FOR CRITS IS DEAD? I really don't think the majority of players care if there are crits. If Arena is brought back and dies again, then crits should stay in this skill based game (crits are skill based and there are many reason why somebody wouldn't GET a crit)

They should add a clientside option to disable random crits for people who don't enjoy them

Okay seriously? Random crits are noticible enough to let noobs know that whatever good thing happened to them WASN'T their doing. Random crits don't happen enough for them to really matter in the grand scheme of things. Random crits equip players with good mentalities and teach them lessons about life (no im serious, think about it)
