So fresh, so much better than you ever.

I'll be brief about this: This past year has sucked horribly for the gaming community. I can't even remember what games came out at the beginning of this year, all I remember is garbage like Mass Effect 3, Halo 4, Resident Evil 6, and Assassin's Creed 3. Casually, this has probably been the best year to date. With Mass Effect's huge fanbase, I'm sure Bioware had no problem making massive amounts of moola at the cost of ♥♥♥♥. PURE, WANNABE RPG, TPS, ♥♥♥♥. The same goes for the above mentioned games. I honestly wonder when did lowering the standards become okay. When was it decided that games could be all action and no story or be allowed to spoon feed the ♥♥♥♥ out of you. I remember a time when games presented a challenge. I remember when there wasn't always a big red arrow showing me where I was supposed to go. I remember when not only was the game itself fun and enjoyable, but the story and experience was awesome to boot. Nowadays, I've noticed it's one or the other. To close this little rant, the best game I've played in the past five years was Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Whoever hasn't heard about this title, check it out on the Steam Store or your local game store.
