Revamping the server.

New additions:

This is the big addition, with this addon it is now possible to buy/sell items for an in game currency. You can also get money from killing NPCs. For a list of commands type /ehelp. If you want to check prices type /price 1-4. (Thats /price 1, /price 2, /price 3, /price 4.) It will give you a much cleaner list.


With the addition of the currency there is also now a bounty addon. To check bounties type /bounty. To place a bounty type /bounty "player name here" amount.


Let's be honest, the time sinks for crafting really are not that enjoyable.


Instead of a minimum player count to trigger airdrops, they should now occur every hour as long as there is a person playing on the server. Drops *should* be tiered in that the more players are on the better the drops...though I haven't had a chance to fully test this. (It took me forever just to get the hourly to work...)


Simply type /location to get your x/y/z coordinates.


Simply type /time to get the current in game time.


For now, all instances of PvP deaths will be broadcast serverwide. Trying to encourage a little more friendly play.


I have restricted access to M4s, Bolt Actions. and Explosive Charges. They *should* only be availble via purchase or airdrop. You should be able to still craft M4's and BAR's after using a research kit on them, however I intend for Explosive Charges to remain drop/purchase only to curtail raiding somewhat.

So why?
Some people probably are wondering why the changes. Frankly, the server was getting stale. The only real PvP that was going on was KoSing or raiding offline players, neither of which I find interesting at all. Every time I found myself logging in it was constant verbal fighting amongst players. Honestly the friendly environment the server once had simply went to crap. I don't want to discourage PvP, but I was getting pretty fed up with the stuff that was going on. So here we are, starting fresh with a new take on the server. Hopefully some old players will revisit, and maybe we can get some new players in here too.

Most of the numbers currently being used by the Economy mod are just off the top of my head. I consider this more of an extended test run anyway as none of this will be lasting. (Game is alpha, remember people.) I plan on actually crunching numbers at some point in time to balance the Economy mod somewhat, but for now I'm just going to observe what happens.
