Q. What does it mean for you to "support" a game?
A. That means we have members of the community who have expressed interest in playing that game and for us to host servers and events.

Q. What is an officer and what is their job?
A. The officer positions for each of the games consist of a Leading Officer who's job is to manage everything related to the game and report back to the groups founders. A Secondary Officer Whos job is to assist the leading officer in managing things related to the game and to assume the role of leading officer should the lead officer not be around for any reason. Community Manager Whos job is to deal with and take note of anything the community wants. Event Co-ordinator has the job of recording, hosting, and organizing events for the game. Each of the officer positions are given a lot of leniancy, meaning the community manager could host events should they be okayed.

Q. What's the difference between a supported game and one you hope to be supporting soon?
A. Games that we want to have support for are games that have had interest by a minority of the group, meaning we don't have an active player base but the potential to start one.

Attention CASYN![DOTA2]

I admit, it's been a while since I've posted on CA Syndicate, but as Crimson Shields is part of the CASYN network, I have decided to bring this up to everyone in CASYN.

DOTA2 now has a guild system. In light of this, it is now easier to organize things from within the game- as a result, I am altering the way posts will be handled:

Informational, and tutorial posts that are already stickied and further informational posts will not change. Examples of this are the Captain's Mode/Counter Pick and the Introduce Yourself posts.

Announcements, however, will be made exclusively on Crimson Shields' guild page. Also, when CASYN decides to launch CASYN from within DOTA2, announcements pertaining to DOTA2 will be held in the guild information window.

Furthermore, changing the way posts and announcements are handled will make messaging more efficient- let's be honest, most people who play DOTA2 that are in CASYN will hardly ever read the forums- but this change will make communication painless, as creating the DOTA2 CASYN as a guild will also create a chatroom for people to participate in- though I am not sure whether this will create a voice chat environment- I will cover this later on.

We hope this change will benefit you all, and I hope to see you in game soon.

Important Notice

We are stepping down from CASYN. Due to recent member inactivity and our busy schedules outside the group we are unable to continue running the group. Special thanks to Kalnium for moderating the Dota 2 division and bringing so many people into the group. Best of luck to him and the Crimson Shields.

Our Raidcall Server will still be hosted and availiable to use of the group. Thank you for those who have read this announcement. If you have any questions or concerns please bring them up with me.
