It's Back!

If there is enough interest from players, I will update the mod and host a server that runs it. However, I cannot predict whether I will attempt to generate interest on my own.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be able to fly? To kill people by tapping them with a roll of wrapping paper, or throw a meat cleaver into a group of people and blow them apart? Now you can!

I've developed a TF2 server plugin called BirdScout. It's similar to plugins such as Huntsman Hell, and it introduces some new rules to the game. Secondary weapons gain new abilities like exploding groups of enemies and slowing down targets. You can read about all the weapons on this spreadsheet:

Basically, you play as a Scout with infinite double-jumps and fly around killing people with your melee and secondary. It's almost always a 1-hit KO, but since guns are disabled it's not as easy as you'd think to get kills!

And as of 2015, I'm reviving the plugin with all of the classes to be added in the near future. I will start with just Scout, and sometimes enable Soldier, but as time goes on and people help with ideas for what weapons can do, more classes will have unique abilities so that you can play as a BirdMedic or BirdSpy.

This group will be used to coordinate when several people are playing and announce updates and changes to the plugin.
