Bringing together the gamers of ACHS

What We Bout:

Our main purpose is to connect with other gamers in ACHS that share our common interest in gaming. We would like to show that gaming isn't just wasted time, but
some thing that can be used to create meaningful relationships and connections between people, and is a good platform
for people to share experiences and understand each other through games.

What We Do:

Here at the ACHS Computer Gaming Club we host events for popular games. In the past we have hosted tournaments for games such as Counterstrike:Global Offensive, and
League of Legends. Depending on the number of people requesting an event for a specific game, we will arrange it. In addition to that, we are also doing more
casual events such as custom game lobbies for Overwatch and even perhaps raiding clans for DayZ and Rust.

Steam Group Info

As for the purpose of the Steam Group, this will mainly be where we organize tournaments. This can also provide a way to connect with other club members for inviting to games, chatting, etc.. Depending on what's happening, we could change up bits of the Steam Group.

ACHS CGC Discord Server & Overwatch Custom Lobbies

We're using Discord this year:

This year we are planning on using Discord as a means of communication between club members. Club Officers already have the server set up and are using it to organize events, such as this weekend's Overwatch custom lobbies. If you don't know what Discord is, it's an online Voice-Chat service. The information regarding our Discord server can be found below:

Overwatch Custom Lobbies

In addition to the Discord, Rylan is hosting Overwatch Custom Lobbies throughout the weekend, so if you play Overwatch please hit up Hamu on Steam or the Discord server.

Important Notes

We're going to use this Steam Group a lot more this year.
We'll post things on Facebook as well as this Steam Group.
Discord will probably be used a lot during weekends during weekend events, something we are going to try out this year.

Tournament Teams Reminder

SUBMIT YOUR TEAM

Just a reminder to get your teams submitted to the CS:GO tournament, make sure you submit your team to the google form linked at the bottom of this post. We would like to do team drawings (for brackets, not art) for the tournament sometime this week, and if not this week, next week. Also, this year we are planning to rent out dedicated servers and would need at least $10 to fund one month of the tournament because the internet connection was trash in last years tournament. Buying our shirts will also help for tournament funding as well, so next meeting, if you plan on buying any of our merch be sure to bring your order form. Thanks, Noah.
