State of the Tsardom

Ferdinand I | From Prince to Tsar

Ferdinand I, the former knyaz of the Principality of Bulgaria, has become our current and incumbent Tsar, with the House of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha-Koháry, being Wilhelm II's second cousin, once removed.

Establishment of the Royal Military

With our independence declared, the Bulgarian Tsardom now faces many new threats and adventures. From Serbia to the Ottoman Empire itself, Bulgaria is henceforth surrounded, and as such, must be able to protect herself.

With this, the Royal Bulgarian Military has been established, with 5 branches: The Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and National Militia.

The Army, being our primary focus, will be the most invested in, seeing as Bulgaria is bordered by at least 5 countries on land. The Army's composition is as follows.

With this, each District will have an additional reserve Corps to provide reinforcements and act as a vanguard in the case of retreat. This will allow for seamless transition between units to rest and recover, allowing for near constant effectiveness in combat, and the maintaining of cohesion.

With the Army being our primary focus, we have very little to invest into our Navy and Naval Assets. As such, our navy is very small, however quite modern, comprising a single battleship, as follows.
