God, 80fov crop has been going in cod since cod2 dude, because it looks sick. Emphasises killfeed and score which are the two main indicators of what's going on BESIDES the actual action on the screen. Those ar ethe indicators if it was a multikill, quadfeed, whatever, plus gives it a far less cluttered look.
If you check anything cod4 which was 80fov and NOT cropped...it was done by somebody who sucked ass.
Rec@1280x1024 then crop to 1280x720 OR
1280x960 cropped to 1280x720
as a general guideline, some people use weird crops, some also do those black line strips for a movie style effect.
So yeah. That's how shiz has always been done on PC.
