Alot of people are very angry about the new deranking. Valve has messed nothing up in my opinion. Ranks don't matter! Your rank is a way to prove to yourself and other people that you are a certain skill level. Behind the scenes ELO is doing all of matchmaking. I personaly like the deranking, it makes getting to the higher ranks a bigger acheivment, as well as keeps alot of people from bragging about their rank.
Me and alot of my friends are Very low ranks. This is simply because the fact that we do not play for ranks, we play for fun. What are the point of video games if not for to have fun?
