Have you ever been kicked last wave by a group of people who think they are better at the game than everyone else but are in actuality terrible and enjoy using exploits to waste time like leaving and rejoining, hacking, using players only to waste their time by kicking them last wave, and general hate speech and hardcore harassment, raiding, and doxxing? I’m sorry to say my friend, you’ve come across a group known as the Tacobots. WholesomeMvM was created to fight back against these degenerates. In general, the Tacobot mentality is about “purging MannUp mode of scum” and they do this using above tactics: kicking, stalling and leaving games and harassment. It should not be up to a handful of people to decide how we get to play, especially on a paid gamemode. We provide a safe recluse from the Tacobots and resources on how to recognize one and what to do. Enjoy your stay!

Everyone is welcome except Tacobots. That's why you must request to join before joining because a pathetic amount of Tacobots tried to raid this community when it was created.

This is just a friendly reminder on how to check if a profile is a Tacobot or associated with them. Tacobots are very predictable creatures and often hang around these groups:

Spell Squirrel

It is important to remember that Tacobots often try to join groups dedicated to fighting against tacobots to troll then. Those groups are no indicative of being Tacobot supporters. The squirrel group might be them hijacking an indie game community to spread their toxicity, but they are almost all on that one too. You can sometimes also check their https://backpack.tf profiles, and they will most likely be banned and they will have a huge warning on their profile page, because these troglodytes get shut down by every major TF2 community out there. lol.

If you see anyone in your friend list who is in one or in multiple of these groups, they are tacobots and you should take action.

Also remember that they often use the argument that they "kick people who support cheaters" as a way to gain power despite they themselves often hacking as sniper in MvM because they think it will make them profit. Don't even believe them, they are less than dirt.

Anybody who is in these groups and tries to join this group will be banned. They don't deserve to breathe our oxygen!

Valve Took Action Against Tacobots!

On the third of December, 2020, valve pushed a major christmas update to Team Fortress 2. In it, they patched the main exploit tacobots were using to get people to do what they want. Valve patched retry spamming. Tacobots used this to rejoin the game and prevent it from starting.

I realize that this was a long time ago now, but I felt like saying it here because I remembered to. I've been not playing TF2 as much as I did in the past few months, but on March 19, 2021, I got a golden frying pan from finishing up a mvm tour, meaning I am one of the few people who got their pan before tour 100. This kind of got me interested in TF2 again, which is why I am writing this.

So what does this mean for tacobots? I don't know if it was because of our letter, but valve did the best thing they could do to fix it. The only power tacobots have now is that if you stumble in a game with more than three of them they can still vote kick you out at the end of the round. If that's the case you should just leave and find a new match. Most of the time, however, if you find 1 stray tacobot, they isn't much they can do. They can idle, and you can kick them, but we are unsure if they can still join after a kick. What we are sure of is that they can no longer reset the "ready" timer and prevent you from starting the wave.

I checked the profiles of the most prevalent tacobots, it seems a lot of them have made theirs private, and some of them have changed their names to be a random string of numbers like the bots we see in casual mode, so I don't know what's up with that.

What does this mean for the group?
This group will stay even though tacobots have mostly been killed. It will probably remain as inactive as always .
