"The Tanoan Conflict"


Situation: March 1st, 2020


Political turmoil has erupted in Tanoa. The people of Tanoa believe that the current government has been corrupted by western capitalists. A paramilitary group called the National Communist Army of Tanoa NCAT, have sworn to overthrow this corrupt government. Their goal is to remove the chains of western control and establish a new communist government. It is believed that NCAT are backed by Russia, though this is not confirmed. NCAT have an unknown number of tanks and other combat vehicles that have been donated to them from the AAF, who have known ties to Russia. Tanoan military personnel have either deserted or joined the coup. Only the local police departments remain to defend the current government, and they will not last long. Some civilian groups supporting the communist regime have also come forward in the conflict. The Tanoan Communist Party TCP, a civilian activist group, are also aiding the NCAT in their efforts. Once the current government leaders are removed, it is believed that the TCP will act as the new governing body of Tanoa. The UN is preparing to respond to the situation once NCAT and the TCP resort to violence. It's just a matter of time.
