Ok so today I've added some new plugins to the server. Below you will find video links and an explaination of how to use / acquire these new plugins.

Plane Crash

The PlaneCrash plugin will randomly spawn a plane that flows at a much lower altitude than normal. You can tell the difference as it will have smoke trailing behind it. The plane can be shot down with a rocket launcher (And only a rocket launcher. Using anything else makes the server lag. I won't go into details)

Upon impact of the rocket hitting the plane, the plane will drop an airdrop crate and a military crate. It will then proceed to crash, where it will drop a further 3 of each crates.

Auto Targetting Rockets:

This plugin allows a player to target Helicopters and the planes mentioned in the above plugin. It takes around 1.5 seconds to acquire the target and then you can fire and the missle will follow the target for 30 seconds where it will explode if it hasn't reached it's target. The plugin requires smoke rockets which aren't available in game by default.

I am torn on how to handle this. Maybe i'll add them to the shop, maybe i'll add them just to the airdrop loot tables. I am unsure. If they do go in the shops they will be available from the ammo vendor at 150 coins each.

Automated Search Lights.

This plugin allows you to turn a search light into an automated one. Each player can set upto 5 searchlights to be automatic. All players have access to use this plugin by default.

How it works:

Place a searchlight
look at the searchlight and type /sl add.
then type /sl rotate

The searchlight is now placed and rotated to where you want it to look.
To remove a searchlight type /sl remove

The lights will automatically rotate when searching for a target. They will also flicker when damaged (80% Health)

What is the point?:

Well this plugin is useful as it will let you know when enemy players are around your base. It will not target clanmates or people on your Friends list.


Random Spawns

So I finally got around to sorting spawn points out. Instead of spawning in the default places defined by the map, you will now be able to spawn all over the place. The plugin randomly generates spawn points. It will remove a spawn point if it is within 10m of a monument or a player created structure.

And last but not least......

Remote Controlled Turrets

The plugin has been implemented, but I am holding this back for now. I am thinking of reserving it for players who want to help contribute to the server costs via donation. But I haven't decided on what rewards I will give for donation amounts as of yet. Hopefully that will come later this week.]

I'll elaborate a bit more on the plugin.

It allows you to place a turret that can be remote controlled via a wooden sign. This becomes useful as you can:

Create a command centre and physically see around your base using turrets.
Allows you to manually kill players.

What it doesn't do:

The turret no longer becomes self aware. IE. It will not act like a normal turret. It will only work when you are in control or if you remove it from being a remote controlled turrent.

Allow you to place a turrent hundreds of meters away and remote control it. It has a radius distance of 50 in Rust.

Watch the video here. You will notice in the video that the sign painter came up. This can be easily stopped by locking the sign before turning it into a controller.
