CyberGamer has just announced that they will be indeed supporting CS:GO in future tournaments and will kick it off with a medium-sized one.

This is just more positive news for both the gaming scene of the higher tier we call e-sports as well as the FPS community in general. As we've seen multiple organizations drop 1.6 and Source over the last few months, we were all sitting at the edge of our seats wanting CS:GO to really take off, especially after CoD4's demise into rubble as of late.

Fear not, for the boys over at CyberGamer have picked us up and are planning on taking us places. Known most recently for ressurecting the CoD4 scene roughly a year ago with their pickup games and reformation of a Vita-Nova-like structure, the website has pushed forward FPS for several years now. After expanding into Europe and boasting three successful seasons of Call of Duty 4 to date, CyberGamer has always been keen on expanding the list of supported games. With the recent release of Counter Strike:Global Offensive it seemed only fitting that it was to be the next game to be fully supported by CyberGamer with the inclusion of prize winning leagues. Our CS:GO seasons will follow almost exactly the same format that has been proven both successful and popular within the COD4 community, the only differences will be in how you actually qualify for the first season and how teams are promoted/demoted after the end of each season.
