The Shady Bunch

Hello all, all that are still in the group. Even though this group is practically dead, it's still the best way to send info on this game and the game itself.

Last year at high school, some of us took a field trip to a vocational school, and I went there to check out the IT stuff they have. I was most interested in the Programming course they have, because I've always wanted to make a game, and I felt that a typical classroom would be the best place for me to learn a coding language personally. Since school started this year for me, I've been going to this school, and I've learned a lot. We started with a program called Visual Studio, which is a free program development tool sort of like Notepad++ but it's better for people who want to also easily create the design of the window and more. We learned how to code buttons to calculate, and using a friend who knows Visual Basic (one of the languages you can code with in Visual Studio), I learned how to make a form lead to another form (forms are windows. You're lookitng at a Steam Form. It's interchangable, but not in Visual Studio). That, and several youtube videos, taught me exactly what I needed to know to make a text adventure game with Visual Studio and add several cool features to it. I'll list those first.

Features:
Easter Egg Browser (if you've a keen enough eye, and have a little bit of knowledge about dank memes, and an inside joke of mine, then you have the ability to find all 4 easter eggs hidden in the game. Any time you find one, it gives you a mostly numerical code you can paste into the Easter Egg Browser, which 3 of the codes will lead to a web page, hence the "Browser" part of the name)
Radio (less like a radio and more like a soundtrack, includes 4 songs set on loop from a youtuber named Myuuji. Epic, sad, beautiful piano, 2 covers, 2 original songs. If you've played COD Zombies, you might recognize the covers)
About Us Window (Pretty standard, but I don't think I've heard of a program that has an About Us window, only websites. We don't have one yet, but I'm also learning how to make those at school too!)

Story:
Set in the year 1991, the game 1991 (yes, very original) takes place in a forest outside of potentially made up Kumara Russia, near the Chinese border. A man named Brukhonenko heads a government agency that is trying to build cyborgs and other related technology, for personal use, for military use, whatever comes most useful. (irl, Brukhonenko was the Russian Scientist that decapitated a dog and kept the head alive on a machine, you might see the inspiration for the Brukhonenko character now in the game). You were on a train heading to one of these Brukhonenko facilities when it derailed. It's implied that you don't know or don't remember how you got where you are or who you are.

I have to cut the story short there. I can't give you the whole game, but I can set it up for you. A summary, if you will.
