My spreading of the Ham is going alright now, starting to get some members trickling it. The matter still remains of peoples lack of interest, and I think a group server campaign will pay dividends; I'm currently thinking this Sunday for the date and so will schedule the event, if numbers are too low then we will have to rebook.
Video editors such as 'Sony Vegas' and 'Adobe After Effects' have rendering features to reduce file size, however I appreciate their price (or difficulty getting them otherwise). An alternative is Microsoft encoder which may be worth a look.
We can discuss map design at a later date, for the moment I am still learning the process and tool usage.
On a side note, I have created a forum for general chat which would be a better place to discuss matters with the built in subscribe feature.
Hammen.
I've also been trying to spread out the word of Ham, but still people are very unprepared to talk about a new religion. I shall join you in our crusade to convert people to the Ham on the scheduled date.
About the file sharing issue, maybe we can write down a tutorial about how to compress the clips without quality loss. I guess after that we can just use MediaFire or something like that.
I've been thinking about the map layout as well, but I guess we all have to discuss it. Let's try not to make it some flat, cubic map and actually put some work into it! xD
I've been thinking about a badlands styled map, but the first question is: what gamemode?
But we better postpone this to later, first we have to spread the word of Ham.
Hammen, and may the Ham be with you.
