A Rust Server To end all Rust Servers

After the death of our previous server a group of 15 or so players decided to find a new home. The Gully Grotto is a 20x server designed to minimize the grind of rust while not making raiding, base building, or dieing meaningless. Server plugins include but are not limited to: Anti cheat, Auto Doors, Better Loot, Better Research, Clans, Friendly Fire, Kits, Home/TP, Trade, Quick Smelt, Remove, and Skip night. Admin team is very active and does not play without streaming to twitch to aid in transparency. Server wipes once every 2 weeks and bps wipe only as mandated by FacePunch. The server is brand new and we welcome all player groups, types, and sizes. If you have any suggestions, questions, or complaints we're here to hear them.

We're back boys and girls, and with this new wipe we have a new host IP and map. you can connect by typing:

Server is with a much better host and on a better machine, should see no more of these 2-3 outages a week until the next big Facepunch patch at least. Kappa.

Another supercool patch!!!

Well today's patch brought almost as much awesomeness as last weeks. There was renewed hope for a working xp system and successful wipe but again we're left screwed.

I decided to switch server hosts for this wipe which I anticipated would delay our patch but provide a huge boost in performance along with other perks like automatic patching of both the game and oxide as well as automatic restarts.

That was all for naught though because this update has a bug in the game engine that causes CPU usage to grow exponentially. This is causing servers to grind to a halt and restart every 5-15 minutes. FacePunch is aware of the issue but we'll see when a fix is out. They don't code Unity but if the game worked before the patch I don't see how they can't fix it on their end.

I'll be on most of the evening and all day tomorrow ironing out plugin issues and polishing up the host change but until they fix the patch there's no point in letting the server run only to restart and rollback every 5 minutes. You were banned when your name was [Hunt]TheShadow for violating the 0 tolerance policy on homophobic and racial slurs. We used to allow people to say what they wanted but that tended to attract a bunch of kids who think the highest form of humor is spamming slurs.
