From 2014 to 2021, it is time.

We will be officially closing The Digital Gaming League. It’s been a long time coming, the last year has been kept afloat by a few hard working individuals.

I wanted to thank everyone for the last 7 years. There has been so much history here. I’ve met so many great people and had the pleasure of playing with so many of you. This league truly changed my life, more than most know, and it has lead me to pursue the endeavors I am today.

Thank you to the recent admin team and others for all the hard work you put in: Aimit8ion, Eziokas, Lenny, Kev, Masser, Planetesimal, Ruban, Simmerdown, Sol, StuffedShark, Syntax, Vapor as well as any others I missed. This would have ended over a year ago if it wasn’t for you. I have been out of the main Sandstorm picture since the start of 2020 except for other DGL ventures like Overwatch.

The discord will be left open for a few weeks and then I will hide all the channels so only this announcement will be seen. I will also be opening up some of the retired channels for people to see the history of this Discord since late 2017 / early 2018.

I am going to leave you all with a large google doc I started back in February of 2021. Torix shared his thoughts in the document and BBQ went through it as well. It has a lot of the history of DGL. It is very long and there are some screenshots in there. Torix and I’s personal statements are at the bottom. Thank you so much to Torix and BBQ. This was a crazy adventure. Love you guys.
