The Take-A-Wish Foundation was a group first proposed by Aperture Science's CEO, Cave Johnson. The program would take wishes from sickly children and give them to perfectly healthy (albeit wish-deprived) adults. This program (unlike the two other proposed programs, the Heimlich counter-maneuver, and the Portal Gun) was unsuccessful, mostly due to strong public opposition and lack of funding
