All Hail President Taft

It has come to my attention that there have been some miscommunications and false information floating around recently, and I think it's time to put a stop to it. I understand that in these days it's hard to know what is the truth, and especially in this group which has come under a lot of attack recently, it's easy for fake stories to spread. I get that. However, I can't abide, as head of the dominion, to let these little details slip through the cracks, so I felt I should take the time to address some of these common misconceptions and falsehoods.

Myth #1: Taft died "in a pool of his own ♥♥♥♥"

Explanation: While it is true that at the time of death, the sphincters release, and oftentimes the bowel can be emptied, there is little historical evidence that it happened to Taft. In fact, there is ample source material to suggest that William Howard Taft actually carried less fecal matter in his body than the average man at the time. It seems odd then, that such a anti-historical myth would be circulated, but gee whiz, I guess these things happen.

Myth #2: Taft was repeatedly stuck in his bathtub, or died in it

Explanation: The majority of this myth comes from older myths and slander about Taft, mainly that he was overweight. William Taft, though quite large in height and sturdy in build, was not in any sense as obese as his political opponents described. I really can't blame anyone for this myth's circulation, as it has been a common myth since the 1920's, and has made its way into the common vernacular. Still, it saddens me that it persists to this day.

Myth #3: Taft was only president for a single term

Explanation: William Taft was the longest serving present, acting as head of state for a total of almost ten terms, from 1909 until his assassination in 1957. Unfortunately, another myth originating from his opponents and all competitors sprung up in the late 60's and spread quickly (his opponents controlled and still control the media) until it became accepted as fact. This is perhaps the worst, as though it doesn't slander Taft, it does erase much of his hard work from the history books. Terribly shameful.

These myths are we all have to stick together, especially with all the pressure that the Dominion has been under from trolls and wackos. Help me to remain vigilant in these dark times, and keep on being daft for taft!
