Suvorov in Constantinople!

The Ottoman Empire could not stand the power of our military, the Ottomans already in a civil war and with Egypt lost they had no choice. The Janissaries sensing their imminent defeat agreed to make their vile empire our protectorate! Mustafa IV, their puppet was in no position to contest their actions. The gates of Tsargrad opened to the victorious army of Generalissimo Suvorov! The jubilant Orthodox crows greeted the great general as a liberator, with the Greeks of Constantinople being unable to comprehend the rapid change of their fates. Treaty of Constantinople, 1794

1. The Ottoman Sultan, Mustafa IV surrenders to the Russian Empire, the foreign affairs of his empire.
   
2. The Russian Empire becomes the sole protector of the Christians of the Ottoman Empire.
   
3. Mustafa IV is forbidden from raising new military forces without Russian consent.
   
4. The Russian Empire annexes the Ottoman Caucasus.
   
5. The Russian Empire annexed the Ionian Islands.
   
6. The Russian Empire can garrison its forces in the Ottoman Empire.
   
7. The 10 Ships of the Line which were under construction at the Dardanelles are seized by the Russian Empire.
   
8. The Jizya tax is abolished.
   
9. Christians are allowed to worship at all places of their choice.

Following the signing of the treaty, Generallisimo Suvorov surrounded the Jinassary barracks with 300 guns and ordered them to disarm, the Janissaries being completely demoralized by their situation, surrendered, ending the 500-year-old Janissary order. The Treaty of Constantinople represents a momentous change in the situation of the Balkans. The Russian Empire finally controls the straits! The capitulation of Selim III is inevitable especially after the defeat of devious English at the Battle of the Dardanelles. Admiral Ushakov who is promoted to a General Admiral for his great victory, was able to destroy the British Mediterranean Fleet, penetrating their battle line and reducing them to smithereens! Russia which was considered a backwater was able to defeat a great empire and defeat the world's greatest naval nation, truly this is the peak of Russian power! Slava! Slava! Slava!

The Tsarina is Dead!

At the height of her glory and power, our great Tsarina has left us! She died from a heart attack, which was a result of her enormous stress and labour concerning the submission of the Ottoman Empire. Catherine's achievements easily constitute her one of the greatest sovereigns of Russia, equal to Pyotr Veliky or Ivan Grozny. During her thirty-three-year reign, Russia grew from an obscure European power to the arbiter of Europe, with Russia's power matched probably only by Napoleon's France. Catherine's deeds will remain imprinted in Russian history with her destroying the last remnant of Mongol rule in Europe, the Crimean Tatars, she conquered the Caucasus and vanquished the Poles who dared to enter Moscow 150 years ago, they got Russian justice! Although, by far her greatest achievement was the annihilation of the Ottoman control over the Balkans, the state that once terrorized Christendom and was advancing in Vienna and in the Ukraine has been reduced to a mere puppet with a hostage Sultan. Her exceptional actions and her lasting legacy rightfully earned her the epithet "Great". Her death is only not mourned by Russians, but from all the Orthodox peoples as well, Greeks, Serbians, Wallachians and Moldavians, Armenians, and countless others express their eternal gratitude to her! Long Live the Tsar!

Following the customary mourning period, great preparations were made for the coronation of the new Tsar. Paul was unfortunate to be an obscure figure in the Imperial Court, his bad relations with his mother didn't help at all. But, Paul is well known for chivalry and knightly behaviour, a man unusual by the standards of our time, such is his chivalry that he was made a Grand Master of the Knights Hospitalier. In a magnificent ceremony in Saint Petersburg, Tsar Paul was crowned as Imperator of all Russias, a great title for a great empire, Tsar Paul was entrusted by God to rule fairly and justly the subjects of his vast domain, an autocrat that will solidify the achievements of his mother and will usher a new golden age for the Russian Empire. The new Tsar had already met with Napoleon, the ruler of the French, the two men even exchanged a fraternal kiss and swore to defend each other. It is apparent that Russia and France are bound by destiny to be brothers and rule this Europe with a velvet glove, enlightening and freeing countless peoples from the oppression of their tyrannic despots. Fate has decried that for those two men to command the globe like two loving comrades who execute God's destiny for the redemption of the Man from the Original Sin. Two virtuous Empires that will establish peace and prosperity forever to mankind! God Save the Tsar!
