关于 TF2 BOTKILLERS

Group for Making TF2 Parties

☉ 「 What is TF2 BOTKILLERS? 」☉

When there are too many bots in Casual Queue, invite someone from this group to your party!

If you have more players in your party, you're more likely to have a good game in Casual. More players also mean more votes for kicking bots and keeping players on the server.

Even Community Servers are more fun with a party. Just message someone and ask!

⁑ 「 General Rules 」⁑

1. Don't expect people to be able to join whenever.
2. If people on the group are playing a game that isn't TF2, leave them alone.
3. No spamming/harassing anybody.

⁂ 「 Info on Bots 」 ⁂

If you're on a server with bots, it's likely that most, if not all of the snipers on your team are bots.

Bots in Team Fortress 2 are computer controlled players on a server, most frequently seen in Casual Queue. Some players don't understand that they are essentially robots, and there's no point insulting them or calling them "hackers."

Every bot has their own set of commands that make them do things, on their own, in the game. These include but aren't limited to:

- Auto-aiming you to death
-Posting binded chats, usually in the team chats
-Starting votes to ban actual players
-Voting No (F2) on votes to ban actual bots
-Playing music and/or other sounds

You have probably encountered many bots, because they're infesting the Casual Queue to death. Valve has made multiple updates to deal with bots, but over the years the problem has only gotten worse. It seems the best way to deal with bots is to team up against them with a party. This ensures that you have enough people to vote to keep players and kick bots. Often on a server with bots, players get kicked almost right away because bots outnumber them.

✦ 「 How Do Bots Work? 」 ✦

Bots, themselves, originally come from the same code and are an open source project that anyone can run and modify as they please. All it takes is minimal technical skills to host a bot that joins casual matches and aimbots enemy players.

The program itself was written in C++ for Linux. It was mainly made by two developers and 24 contributors. No names or links will be shared of these truly despicable renegades.

Since the program is open source and highly customizable, bots can have a lot of features, such as unique names and items. They have been known to steal player names of teammates, in the past. Some show up to the server with music or obnoxious voice clips on the VC.

Keeping in mind that the project is open source, expect changes to the bots in the future. It doesn't look like Valve is solving this any time soon, so bots are now expected of Team Fortress 2 Casual. As this continues, anyone looking to play Casual should keep in mind the importance of going in with a party, kicking out bots and voting to keep players.
