Steam group for the mod TF2: Gold Rush

Team Fortress 2: Gold Rush is a free sourcemod for Team Fortress 2 focused on restoring the original atmosphere and presentation of the game as it existed in its earlier years.

We are pulling content from up until around 2010 and applying a layer of visual polish to it to better reflect the game’s initial aesthetic and premise.

The mod will blend together the immaculate visual direction of the launch game, with the fun gameplay variety and player expression that made being a TF2 fan in the early 2010s so special.

In short: The Team Fortress 2 you’ve been missing, in better quality than ever.

  • Added workaround for a bug in Metamod: Source where it detects the game as TF2 and loads the wrong binaries (causing a crash later on player connect if SourceMod is also installed)

  • Added Natascha, The Sandvich and the Killing Gloves of Boxing
  • Sandvich dropping can be enabled using tf_weapon_lunchbox_drop (temporarily disabled until a later update)
  • Fixed minigun barrel acceleration varying by framerate (previously it spun up/down instantly at high framerates)
  • Fixed Fists swing animation breaking at higher latencies
  • Fixed Fists weapon bucket icon coloring

  • Dispensers and teleporters can now be upgraded up to level 3

  • Increased airblast delay from 0.75 to 1 second (pre April 28 2010 patch behaviour)

  • Increased The Kritzkrieg's ÜberCharge rate bonus from 10% to 25%
    Sniper
  • Fixed muzzleflash appearing when firing while scoped
    TFBots
  • Improved navigation on Dustbowl first stage
  • Fixed tf_bot_join_after_player counting the SourceTV client as a player
  • tf_bot_auto_vacate is now disabled by default, bots will fill up all slots if quota is set to maxplayers
  • Engineer bots now upgrade their Dispensers
