Social Anxiety Disorder

SAD is a life-controlling mental illness that triggers an intense fear in any sort of social situations, and fear of public places, causing significant distress, as we fear the perceived or actual scrutiny of other people. Such a persistent, inexplicable, and irrational fear of being judged by another person, actually impairs the ability to function in some parts of daily life. It brings about many uncomfortable physical symptoms, and can be associated with other mental issues such as Avoidant Personality Disorder, and Major Depression.

When not many people know about it, it just means further misunderstanding.
Many sufferers are left with no mutual support, and some have suffered childhood trauma.

Our hope is that more people know about this. Finding people that also suffer from social anxiety (there are a lot of people) helps a lot, as well as supporting each other.
