Practice makes perfect.

The definition of practice the customary, habitual, or expected procedure or way of doing of something. What is practice in CS:GO? There are many aspects that need to be trained in order to be a well rounded player in CS:GO, things such as aim, game sense, strats and remaining calm are all key to improve as a player.

From what i've been told many people don't tend to practice, which is understandable as people don't want to put in hours and hours into practicing. However practicing can take even thirty minutes, and even that thirty minutes can improve you greatly as a player.

I look at improvement as playing consistently at your max skill that you are capable of for 3-5 consecutive games in a row. Consistency comes with practice. An example would be if your not good at AK-47, you should take the initiative to improve that weakness. If you practice AK thirty minutes a day it can really have a positive impact on the way you play and in the end on your mental state while playing aswell, knowing that you are capable of hitting shots can be a motiviational boost for some people.

There are many things you can do to improve as a player, a great example is what vaffe made an announcement about earlier this week regarding the aim training map. Some people can greatly benefit from this because it forces you to flick from target to target while controlling your spray. What i do however is i go onto a FFA deathmatch and practice as it has the same effect, you are being forced to end your target before he ends you.

Ill show what my practice schedule consists of:

• FFA Deathmatch AWP (30 Minutes)
  
• FFA Deathmatch AK-47 (15 Minutes)
  
• FFA Deathmatch M4a4 (15 Minutes)
  
• FFA Pistol HS only USP-S, Glock and P250 (50 Kills each gun, 150 total)
  
• Pistol only rounds (Not always)
  
• Retakes (Not always)

I dont follow this schedule strictly and i make adjustments depending on how much time i have. Sometimes i will do 15 minutes of AWP instead and 30 minutes of Ak-47.

Knowing your weaknesses is the next step forward. If you know what your doing wrong try and find ways of fixing the issue. However its also important to know what you're good at and improve on it even further.
