Down with SecuROM - A Sony Intrusion.

Is Boycott the right word for this? Ban even? I never expect people to not play the games they love, but to know what it is they are buying.

This group has been founded to bring awareness about SecuROM and the games its slowly infecting and infecting your computer.

Learn what SecuROM is, know that EA has been sued over it, know that Sony has created software in the past that has been called Malware by Microsoft to protect their Music.

SecuROM is starting to come on games such as Bioshock - Bioshock (DEMO) - Bioshock 2 - Mass Effect - Spore & More.

This program is infecting older games now, ones we used to love and newer games.

The Game industry doesn't understand that they are intruding on the people who actually buy there games and when they create programs like SecuROM they are DRIVEN to Piracy.

A Program made to protect the company of Piracy should never have software to uninstall it and instructions to uninstall it, but it does.

The way it works, you DL well porn game I guess & what it does is install a virus on your comp & than steals your personal information & posts it on a website than charges you to have the information removed.

Oh this is only in the "Illegal" version of the games from what the article says, whoo better buy the legit stuff for your animated porn. ENJOY!

the day VALVe decides to go with securom will be the day I quit PC gaming . . . but when you look at all the stupid things happening across the world . . . its no wonder people have taken the "It's all mine!" attitude . . . and Securom is just another way to say "It's all mine!" I am glad to see some companies removing the Securom from their games (even if its just the steam versions)

That really is a shame all that happened with SecuROM - But yeah Battlefield 2 is securom free ONLY on steam, keep that in mind.

Hi, I just finished formatting my HD and re-installing my OS, after the Bioshock DEMO! installed Securom on my Pc without asking permission. I Uninstalled the demo and run the securom remove tool I found on their homepage, but It would not uninstall!!!
Yesturday I bought GTA4 for only 7 euro on steam (3h offer!) but realized it has securom too! This is getting really to me. Why on earth I have to pay to be treated like a theif :-(
It's great to see some games are starting to have their securom removed, like battlefield 2....I might just buy it now :-)
