Please see the SSA Mod Pack for a full list. The server includes the modular thrusters, speed mod, earthbreaker drill, and a dampener mod to increase the vanilla thruster’s dampeners.

Server Conduct

There is to be no inappropriate language used within in game chat.

You cannot outright lie to the other faction using in game chat. Deception is fun, but do not post that you are attacking someone if it is not true simply to waste their time. If you want to post that you may know where their base is regardless of whether or not you do that is perfectly acceptable, but don’t tell them that you found their base and destroyed it (unless you really did in which case post away!)

Try to keep this server fun! Obviously both factions want to ‘win’ the server, but we also want to carry on a sustained back and forth play. As an example, on our last server the SSA called off an attack one day because the other faction simply was not prepared to defend themselves. We had planned to attack an objective and their protected base, but we knew by the time of the attack that we would have rendered them helpless and starting over from scratch by doing so. We took the objective in a later attack and refrained from destroying their base for almost a week to give them a shot at catching up and making the server more fun in the long run. The server activity should not be dictated by the slower faction, but on a 2 faction server there are going to be periods of less activity from each group and faction leadership can work together to keep the server as enjoyable as possible for a longer period of time!

Understand appropriate admin discussion. I am happy to help with server issues as I am able, but make sure your faction leadership is aware if you are discussing issues with the admin. If there are server issues that result in your ship/base being lost I am happy to help replace them in order to prevent the poor net code from ruining the server. Examples of issues that I will help fix include: server crash while piloting resulting in a large ship disappearing from the map (if it had no med bay and you just can’t find it I won’t assist); rendering issue resulting in a broken miner; ships with thrusters not working or other bugs (I can copy/paste them which usually resolves the problem); or ships that fall through the planet mysteriously. Issues that I will not help with include: “I ran into something”; 90% of mining issues where the drill just wasn’t as strong as you thought (hint: don’t attach the earth breaker directly to your cargo and don’t mine beyond what your containers can hold!); disconnected ship parts as the result of grinding; lost small ships (it happens, just make another one); or any damage to welders caused while welding projections (hint: make sure your cargo container is protected so that if the front of the ship takes a hit you don’t lose everything).
