Alright, first, this is something I've been pondering for a while and have been trying to come to a conclusion as to how to go about it, while keeping the clan safe from trolling, and from potential serious problems.

First, let me explain something about the "Architect" permission. This permission includes not only building decorations, but ALSO building rooms. The part where this becomes a problem is that if the MOUNTAIN BARRACKS gets built, we become a mountain clan. If that happens, we gain 200 clan member slots (which isn't bad, but we really dont need it), but more importantly, ALL of our dojo costs get multiplied by 10. This means that if DE pulls another Zephyr-esque research (thousands of oxium), that means we'd have to farm, collectively, 10x as much as a clan to gain access to that. Additionally, even if we destroy this room, we stay a mountain clan.

I dunno about you, but I'd rather that not happen.

I'd like to give benefit of the doubt to people, but the thing is, people do play games drunk, and mistakes do get made. And when people see "New room started!", historically, people go absolutely crazy trying to contribute. SO, chances are, if the room gets added as a joke or accidentally, it'll probably be 100% funded before it can be removed. This is why NOBODY in the entire clan but ME has had access to the Architect permission.

This restriction is being lifted SLIGHTLY. There are a number of caveats.

Regular members (non-officers) will be allowed, after they attain Mastery Rank 12, to select ONE room to decorate, and the room message will be updated to reflect that they decorated the room. They will be placed in a special rank that gives them build permissions ONLY, and they will be able to decorate the room. The decorations must be funded entirely by the decorater. I will be present to observe the decoration of the room. If the decorater attempts to leave the room, they'll get dropped from the decorater rank and put back to the rank where they belong before they can do anything to a different room. Also, the rooms should be DECORATED, not cluttered and made difficult to traverse. I will not allow people putting large containers sideways in the middle of hallways, objects blocking doorways, or anything else semi-trolly.

Why Mastery 12? Because I want to give people more motivation to play and be active here. Veteran Rank is mastery 9, and I want there to be a motivation to be active beyond that.

I mentioned earlier that Officers would not be able to partake in decorating. That is because they will get their own office on the wings of the ship. They, too, have to fund the entire project solo, and will be subject to the same watching eye as the regular decoraters. The reason for this special privelege is because when I am not present, it's their job to moderate the clan, recruit, and generally take care of things. These promotions are done based on merit, and the 4 officers we have now have behaved in such a way that enables me to trust them to take care of things. The officer rank itself does not have any build permissions. They will have to be moved into the special builder rank as well.
