The paramilitary of Rome. We control riots and maintain laws and orders in Rome, as well as being capable of being deployed on the battle field.

The group will revolve around Life of Rome when it is released in steam. Other time we may choose to add new games if they meet our criteria.

How can I join the Cohortes Urbanae?

It is unclear yet, we will have to look at how Life of Rome will be made and adjust our recruiting standards to it. In our mind, we were thinking of hosting trainings where ranks in the Cohortes Urbanae train for better ranks and people who want to enlist will also be trained.

Will there be an opportunity to be an HR when the group is finally released?

Yes, there will be oppurtunities to be an HR. We will give certain people the position for 1 - 2 weeks, if they show good results they will keep their ranks.

Is this like any other steam group? Or does it involve real time ranks/formations/patrols/battles/etc.

Yes we are hoping that we can involve those. As I said before, we are still waiting on how Life of Rome will be made

Commands must be known when in battle, patrolling, walking, etc.

Orbis - Encircle the high rank, making a circle protecting the high rank. Swords and shields ready.

Wedge - An arrow position, one man at the front and the back. While 3 other men on both sides spread diagonally down. Forming an arrow. Swords and shields ready/

At ease - Shields and swords down.

Testudo - A couple men in the front with their shields facing towards the enemy with their swords ready. While the back holds their shields up, ready to fill in the front line if needed.

Ave - Ready

Manipular - Four men in the front spread out. Three men in the back spread out. Etc. Swords and shields ready

Faces - Will not be used as much, but it basically means face the way the HR tells you to face.

Cannae - Will not be used since Manipular is very similar.

Prepare - Prepare for what is to come. Swords and shields ready.

Zama - Swords and shields down. Example: Four men in the front, four men behind them. Spaced out.

Riot Formation - Spaced out. Swords and shields ready.

Marching formation - HR at the very front and lines of men behind him.
