Ruf uses unmarked Porsche chassis assembled with Ruf-made parts/materials, rather than badge engineering or disassembling existing cars. This means all Ruf models have a certified Ruf vehicle identification number, and a certified Ruf serial number; id est, Ruf is recognized as a manufacturer by the German governement.
