Prelude

July 12th 1936, peace in Spain hangs by a thread as tensions rise between the political right and left. Workers summarily rise up in direct question of the state in towns and cities, to be put down time and time again by reactionary troops in all corners of the nation - it is only a matter of time before the fuse runs short and Spanish history explodes into fragments.

These developments are a large worry to the politically divided inhabitants of Málejos, a small agricultural town at the very south-eastern tip of Zaragoza Province.

The situation is peaceful now but who knows what the future may bring?
