Old patrician system abolished

Since we are in new times, I decided to abolish the old patrician system,

The high patrician class won't be able to remain in control of the Serene Republic like their personal kingdom. Now, everyone can reach up to higher positions by skill, not by family.

The voting system will also the modernised, with voting ballots and allowing anyone who's a citizen of Venice to even become the doge! The Senoria and the Council of 10 will both exist but the Senoria will be working more like ministers besides their normal adivising position, while the council of 10 will form a ruling body for Venice's management and military under the watchful eye of the Doge.

Venetian troops moving to Ferrara

Soon after the declaration of war against the tyrannical kingdom of Italy, the local garrison at the small town of Occhiobello have sallied out and quickly taken control over the tiny border area, while the main Venetian army has started besieging the city of Ferrara while shelling it with the magnificent artillery of the Venetian Empire.

Furthermore, the forces at the border village of Peschiela del Garda have been ordered to fortify their location against any Italian forces who are able to march from Milano.

While the Venetian High Command is hastily discussing plans and planning further military actions against Italy on the island of Sacca Sèssola, the greatest weapon of Venice, the Venetian Navy, is blockading the naval ports of Italy on the Adriatic while a smaller portion who was sent earlier to blockade Egypt has sailed towards Naples to offer their king help against Italy. And all this time, the flag of Venice will wave above our great empire which will come to existence!

Venice will shine at this hour of glory and victory, and all the world will see it.
