About us

The community of the Royal Regiment of Artillery exists since 30 april 2012 when Det Danske Auxiliærkorps was established, a danish regiment.
However, over the years Det Danske Auxiliærkorps started to become more international focused and that is why, on 16 February 2015, the regiment was renamed.
At the very start, the Royal Regiment of Artillery had two detachments, the artillery and the artillery guard. But when the regiment became bigger a danish light infantry unit
was established and later on a line detachment was added.

The Royal Regiment of Artillery strives to become an regiment with a good balance between having fun and being disciplined.
With that, we do not have much requirements for people who want to join. No age limits, no minimum attendance, no minimum skill level.
As long as you are reasonable, mature and respect the way the regiment works. You are more than welcome to join.


The real Royal Regiment of Artillery

The Royal Regiment of Artillery is actually not a real regiment, but it is the artillery arm of the British army since 1716 existing out of regiments.

We have decided to do it a bit different to make it easier for everyone.

The End of an Era

Dear members of the Royal Regiment of Artillery,

The story of the Royal Regiment of Artillery ends here. It has been a community, a regiment and a pain in the ass. Mostly the first two. Many people came together to form a community across nationalities and for a long time it was a great thing. It would however turn out not to last; having many people come together is not always the best solution. In numbers you can find strength, but you must also seek compromise. In the RRA I met fierce people and while i admired their fierceness, I also found it to limit their willingness to compromise. I think it is for the best that the RRA is no more and that the companies and individual members can find the place where they fit.

A long time ago I was involved in the breakup of the DDA. At the time I was mostly angry and I was angry because they were wrong and I was right. Now that I am standing in the middle of a new breakup I am no longer mad. Instead I am sad for what is no more and hopeful for what can instead appear. I hope you can learn from my experiences and put the anger behind you when you deal with regiments in the future.

To the 1st Battery, the 2nd Scouts, the 3rd Royal Fusiliers, the 4th Swedish Regiment of Foot, the Fifth Company of Light Cavalry and to the 6th Rifles: it's been good getting to know you and I hope I haven't seen the last of you.

Blessings to all at the time of our lord saviour god and baby jesus in a crib in a barn with a ill tempered donkey and stuff wiv no electric or gas and the blessed mary bird who's his mum at this time we must remember they was poor and hotels wasnt invented yet nor the internet or even the tv,but we give thanks to baby jesus and the angels in heaven as we sit down with our familys this christmas and open the presents that we dont like but say thank you grandma anyway lest we offend her and she cuts us out of her will,we rejoice as we eat to much fart throw up over the burnt turkey and fall asleep at the table and argue about who's turn it is to wash up this year and give thanks for yet another pair of sox,soap,aftershave or brown slippers from the cheap shop,but we must remember the starving children in africa that dont have slippers or sox..Merry xmas to all in the RRA ...chaplin Hakeswill after one to many gins at the officers mess).God save the king!! HUZZAR!

The taking of st.fallons hill,was almost a disaster for sir arthur the battle had not gone in his favour,it was not a battle of his choosing in fact napoleon had out smarted the british forces in his placement of axis troops,the valley had been hit by severe snowfall and using the storm as cover old boney had marched his troops up to hold the high ground too which sir arthur could only react with his small vanguard,as the main body of the army was 2 days away,the 3rd foot some men from the 2nd scouts one gun battery and the 5th light cavarly had walked into a carefully and tactically brillant ambush
