The Official Red Orchestra 40k Mod Group

Red Orchestra 40000 is a Total Conversion mod for Red Orchestra 2 Heroes of Stalingrad.

Imperial Guard and Orks will be the Inital focus of the mod.

RO40k is NOT intended for profit purposes but intended as a homage to the Warhammer 40,000 Universe and its gigantic (and very hungry) fanbase.

The State of Heroes of Armageddon / Group Migration / Commitment

It has been a long time...

With that said I have been Picking up 3DS Max and Modeling buildings for our first test level. However we are in need of character artists, Concept artists, Particle effect aritsts, etc. That are familar with the Unreal Engine / UDK.

I have applied for Nvidia's APEX tools just recently. What does this mean? Lots of destruction with minimal overhead and very little hit to performance. However that is yet to be seen.

Second off: We are doing a group migration to the URL below:

Third and last: We are making a comitment to the GW fan base - We will be making more frequent updates and more often as well.

Well well well, it's been a while since there's been a post here, so I imagine you wonder what's been going on lately and you probably have questions to ask!

First off, the mod is not dead, despite what the silence might lead you to believe. I've been busy in "real life" what with summer coming to an end, and I imagine a few other members have been in the same spot. There is still very few of us, and we're not even in heavy development yet.

Not much is done as we're still looking for members who can help us with texturing, sound, effects, programming, bleigh, pretty much everything. We have some team members, but we could do with more. If you'd like to help out, you may post here or the main group page. We'll be checking often enough.

Headclot and I also have our hands on two copies of the RO2 SDK preview release version, so we're going to be taking a look to see what we can do with that, too.Also, as far as environmental assets are concerned, thanks to what RO2 already offers, it seems we have a bit of a head-start in that department, thanks to assets that will be especially useful with urban warfare maps.

We also have some stuff to show off, as promised some time ago...

We'd also like to announce that we *seem* to have made the final decision of calling our mod Warhammer 40,000: Heroes of Armageddon. Here is a logo made by Harb, who is on the Tripwire Interactive Forums:

Hi, I am really excited about Heroes of Armageddon. I am a huge and long term fan of 40K, and I just got into Red Orchestra 2 Heroes of Stalingrad. I would like to donate my time and talent to help bring Heroes of Armageddon to completion. I am in school for game design, and I have been looking for a modding group to join. I would like to do some modeling and UV textures for this project. I also have a limited understanding of UDK 3, ( I can block out levels, but I still need help with custom materials). My strengths are in Maya and Photoshop, and Warhammer 40,000 fluff and table top rules.
Please let me know if I can help.
