Peace is Dead

The Pax Mortuus Roleplaying community is for the players. It is run with a metaplot, and an opening story for the growing community which then releases into a plot entirely shapable by the players. Multiple servers which will cater more to one faction or the factionless, each with its own seperate and shared dangers. This begins the promoting of character development while still advancing a constant plot that looms in the background that only a few players may even know about. Roleplay Development team members and LESIGs (Live Event Special Interest Groups) will be present from time to time on specific characters for large live events on our servers which will support 64 players at a time.

The Pax Mortuus (or "Peace is Dead") Roleplay community bases its metaplot almost directly from the title. It is that of a humble mystery not explained nor expanded upon in the HL2 universe. It takes place in America, only half a decade after the bombardment and destruction of its frontiers.

Players take the reigns as a survivor of the bombardment and hellish conditions of the required survival in a post-apocalyptic continent where most biomes have been destroyed, leaving fruitless wastelands. What wilds do remain belong to the creatures of unknown origin. Outside of the Combine fortresses and remaining military bunkers are nothing more than mutants, monsters, raiders, the oppressive Combine themselves, and maybe even another group of survivors trying to make their own way.

Are you a refugee, or a survivor? A raider, or a scavenger? A soldier, a Combine? Or maybe... Maybe you're just another victim of natural selection. The choice is your's.
