Should you buy it or not? We'll tell you.

This review ONLY covers Minecraft Beta, the paid for version. I will be reviewing (Or somebody else) Classic/Outdated later on.

If any of your friends are big MMO fans, ask them if they've heard of Minecraft. Most chances are, that's going to be a yes. If you (or your friend) hasn't heard about Minecraft (Big shame on you, you should've heard about it), it's a sandbox game where you build stuff. The thing is, there are TWO modes to play Minecraft. Outdated/Classic is the free version, which is basically you building stuff, and yes, ONLY building stuff. Then there's Beta, a paid for version of Minecraft that looks better, and plays differently. Sure, you're still building stuff, but it also adds the element of survival to it. The problem is, are you willing to pay the steep price, 20 euros? Let's find out.

Beta mode starts off by loading a randomly generated world. The thing is, I'm not sure if it FULLY generates a new one each time, as I ran into the same world 4 times already (And yes, I did NOT start the same world file, I started a new one). Not a big deal though. When you spawn, you can either admire the world and die, or start hunting. I bet you can figure out what to do (And that's hunt). Unlike Classic/Outdated, you don't get unlimited blocks to use. Instead, you must gather blocks, and form new ones. The thing is, gathering blocks to build exactly what you want can be a little repetitive after a while. Good thing was, I didn't build those crazy pixal art stuff (And if I wanted to, I'd do it in The Orange Block or Minecraft Classic/Outdated). Though, do you remember how I said survival? Yes, that's what I said. You must go hunt the little animals that run around in the world (NO, THERE IS NO BLOOD OR GORE IN THIS), and use whatever it gives you. Crafting also takes part here, where you'll have to build tools if you want to even GET anything. You can build a sword to kill the monsters--I forgot about that. There are also enemies that surround the world too, like zombies (Not so favorite), spiders (Still not so favorite), and the creepers (Favorite!). Back to crafting: Build pickaxes to mine diamonds and more, boots/armor/helmets (lol) to give you more protection, and much MUCH more. All before it becomes night, where the monsters (finally) appear.

The graphics here are like it's younger brother/sister, Outdated/Classic, except it adds a little more detail, like shadows. You can also add texture packs that will give it even MORE detail, and it's even simpler than adding texture packs to Classic/Outdated. Just Pause/Main Menu and change it. I'm pretty sad still they didn't do that to Classic/Outdated.

Sound is pretty repetitive. All you'll hear is crunching noises and noises of you building. Plus the creepers/zombies/spiders. The music there is AWESOME though. Listen to the "This is Minecraft" Youtube video. AMAZING!!!

Game will get boring and repetitive if you don't download any mods or play with any friends, but it's still a great game (And TONS of players!).
