This was the time before aim cone and just after the XP system was removed. Which was in my opinion and a lot of others would agree one of the best times to play rust!

In the early Component System there was:
No Bp's and no scrap
No workbenches
No Building upkeep or decay
No building in building blocked zones, so no ladders or twig
Old building and raiding costs, so old wall stacking and both sheet metal and stone cost 4 rockets!
Old Recoil before aim cone
Old P250 that was accurate
Old AK recoil
Old nodes
Better performance and settings that runs a lot smoother!

Things that haven't changed:
Recyclers are in
All Skins work even the new ones
Salvaged tools are still the best
Shop fronts and vending machines are still in

Overall this was a much better time to play rust as the game felt a lot less of a grind and the PVP and base building was a lot better than it is now and the performance was a lot better!

The Old School Rust server is planned to have its first wipe around the 29th of march so the first week of the school holidays. The exact day will be decided closer to the release!

Release Date:
It is planned to be 3x gather vanilla everything else but this may change.
It will have a max group size of 4
And it will have a small map size to promote more PVP
