Making your mail 20% derpier since 2012

For the people wondering why DerpyMail has been having issues recently I have put together this to basically explain what's been happening over the past few months that has been keeping me off the emails and website.

One of the first major site issues happened almost 3 months ago when our host moved servers from one provider to another. The move went well to start with, but was delayed for quite a long time. People got quite angry over that understandably due to emails not getting though, but they where cached and re-sent when the server came back up; however due to this move the script that created email adresses for the users got broken and it took a while for our host to recreate it due to real life problems of his own.

A while after that, the server suffered a failed hard drive. Everything was backed up my end but the host did not have a copy of the automated create email script and was lost, making automated email registration not possible for the time being. Around this time I also had a lot of work needed to be completed for university and that took up 80% of my time.

Now to a week ago. Our host had problems with the server he was currently on and decided to move to another host that offered much better services. The second move however broke pretty much everything, since it moved from one framework to another completly different one, and our host had to manualy move email accounts from the old database to the new one. Some passwords got broken with this and since the password reset script was also broken people had no way of resetting their password. But I have been working on re-making all of the php code that was made a year ago into asp.net and allow for it to still work even if the server is moved again.
