First Nostalgia Night

The first NN night will be held next week, Wednesday January 30th @ 8pm EST. We will be running Hostile Intent a Half-Life modifcation. Here is what you need to do to get ready.

1) Install Half-Life on steam
2) Download and install Hostile Intent 1.6
Download Here
3) Download and extract the hotfix to the Half-Life directory in your steam.
Download Here
4) Restart steam, and you'll find Hostile Intent able to be ran from steam library.
5) Run the game and make sure you can join the server.

If you need help with step #3 get with me on steam friends before next week and I can help. It's not hard, it is just 2 dll files that go into the Half-Life Directory in steam.

Communication will be held on ventrilo. If you haven't been signed up for the ventrilo server, please send me your ventrilo username and desired password and I will get it setup. Here is the ventrilo server info (you will need your password first):
Hostname: ny.ventriloservers.biz
Port: 4406

For those who have never played Hostile Intent is to go through the tutorial in-game and try out a few maps. The game is very unforgiving and having some idea how to play the game before the event will help.

Finally don't wait until the event time to start downloading and attempting to learn the game. You will be left behind if you don't have it setup. Come prepared and ready to go. I hope to see everyone there.

Starting up Nostalgia Night

Hello everyone, welcome to Nostalgia Night. Currently I'm planning on holding NN Wednesday nights @ 8pm EST. But the first night isn’t scheduled yet and I will inform you when it is. The first game I plan to run is a mod for the orginal Half-Life, called Hostile Intent. This game has a lot of history with Fisher, Daniel, and myself. Some others as well, but they may not be around. I'll be working on how to get the mod setup easiest for everyone. This includes a safe place for us to play and requirements to play.

You can invite any friends as long as they get along with everyone else. If you don’t meet the requirements to play, please let me know and we’ll see what can be done.

Technical difficulties might plague NN and I plan to come up with a system to decrease the possiblities of them. But until that system is devised, please be patient and understanding.
