First off I am sorry about not showing up last Sunday. The game I play irl has been on a hiatus due to scheduling issues between the players and the game master. I found out last Friday that we would be able to play last Sunday. The good news that that I am free to play this Sunday and most likely every other Sunday. If you guys want to play every week we would need to look into switching to Saturdays. We can discuss it this Sunday.

Due to some traveling I have to do for work I will not be able to host this upcoming Sunday. I am very sorry. Next game will be the 23rd. The good news is I will have some quest XP to hand out at the start of the game.

Real quick announcement before our next game. This is not my campaign. As the DM I am in charge of filling this world with people that YOU interact with. Monsters that YOU fight or flee from. Quests that YOU choose to complete or not. The end of this campaign is completely up to YOU. What happens to your character is completely up to YOU.

As the old saying goes, you lead a dwarf to the tavern but you cannot make him stop drinking. This campaign is meant to be hallways of doors and YOU get to decide which ones to open. I just get to tell you which ones you hear growling behind (assuming your perception is high enough).

Hello Adventures,

Thought that first session went fantastically. You all did a great job staying true to your heroes and did a great job adapting to your rolls.

Wanted to let you all know that the next session has been set for 3:00pm EST on 09/25/2016. If this is an issue for anyone please let me know beforehand and we can reschedule. Will be posting links to some rule books and the character sheets so you will always have access to them as well.

Also, I have a few ideas I wanted to share with you and will enhance your experience during this campaign.

1. Someone keeps a journal of everything that has happens during the session. Keeps track of NPCs you meet and locations you travel to.

2. Allowing someone to join for just one session since I had set the max number of playable characters (PCs) to 7. This would allow more dynamic interactions of certain NPCs you meet along the way. This is also great if you want your character to have their own side quest and I will reward good secrets with chances to acquire sweet loot.

3. Everyone has secrets. My favorite element to a RPG are secrets that each character has. These could be about their past or about one of the other characters in the party. If you want, message me a secret you wish to share and I may find a way to incorporate that into the story.

4. Recommend working out your imagination muscles between sessions. Maybe watch a Critical Role episode or listen/read a fictional novel. D&D is 90% story telling/dramatization and 10% dice throwing.

5. The PDF copies I made of your characters are a great way to record any changes that happen to your character along the way. You could also use the notes tab or a physical notebook. Either way I highly recommend recording how your character grows during this campaign.

6. As great and mighty as your characters may be they are still feeble mortals with character flaws. Flaws work to balance out feats. You should have the same number of flaws you do feats. These also work to add a great amount of depth to your character. What I want to know is what flaws your character has. Do you have a strong phobia? Suffering from PTSD, what sets you off? Here is a link to an example list of common flaws and feats but don’t let this stop you from making your own. Let your imagination run wild!

7. Pictures are a great way to bring things into perspective. If you find/make a picture of what your character looks like then post a link to the group and I will add it to the mural I am making for the room.

8. Word of warning! Working together as a team will help your character live longer. I realize some people like to play by their own rules and be the hot shot but that will only get you so far. The only way you are going to SURVIVE Neverwinter is by working together to overcome the obstacles that you face. One great way to do this is by selecting a party leader. They are the team captain whose job is to keep the team working together during intense moments. This should be someone everyone trusts and respects. I will leave this choice up to you.

9. Overall the more information you put into your character the more focus I will give them. If you are just hear to kill monsters and get loot than pay no heed to my suggestions but if you want to experience grand adventures and thrilling stories I will need to know more about this brave warrior you have brought into the world of Neverwinter.
