• History •

Nefarious EU is first and foremost an MMO based social gaming community. The guild Nefarious started in 2007 in World of Warcraft and during BC and Wrath was one of the most successful PVE progression guilds on its realm. During Cataclysm most members have been more casual in nature and the community has grown beyond Azeroth enjoying successful outings in SWTOR, SC2 and Diablo among others.

Nefarious remains on Thunderhorn EU and the whilst enjoying a casual expansion and some other games we have also greatly missed competitive raiding. With this in mind the WoW entity of Nefarious will be refocussed for 10 man progression raiding in MoP. Many of us have over 6 years of raiding experience at a high progression level and we still retain our original raid leaders. We have people who have been involved in managing and participation in organised social gaming going back as far as Counter Strike, Tac Op's and early XBox live all of these to a very high competitive level.

As this History shows some of us are not as young as we used to be and these days we strive to enjoy a healthy balance within our lives putting family and careers first. This said we believe that a positive online gaming life can be a fantastic way for intelligent, witty people to compliment busy schedules by providing stress free, fun entertainment and meet new and interesting people from all walks of life and all corners of the globe. Our event schedule however does lean towards this and we ask people to be awre of this in advance of applications. The WoW raids are later than the norm and also include a weekend raid.


• Approach •

We want to meet lots of new people who have matured within this oddity of modern life that is MMO's and the internet community at large and are also talented, passionate, social gamers who have found a similar balance to ourselves. Geeks in suits and aprons! We will be utilising all forms of social media within the Nefarious experience to enhance communications and sense of community, this is key to what we aim to achieve.

We will provide structured end game events for whatever environment we face although do so in a casual yet focussed manner. We do pride ourselves on being prepared, serious and fun in co-ordinated team gaming. We would like to point out that due to much of the membership being UK based and of an age that involves families we do tend to do things later in the evening or weekends.

We welcome people of experience from all aspects of MMO gaming or those completely new to this madness. Whether you play for Boss Kills, PvP Supremacy or the full range of Alt's and immersive story experience as well as casual passers by killing an hour here and there. What we want of any new members is very simple. Say hello, wave goodbye, be social, get involved where you can, be funny! Make an effort to meet new people and mix a bit. Make the game what you want it to be and then tell us what you did if it was great.
