Games don't just cost money, they also cost time.

A group for the people that have real life responsibilities, like work or family, and time for gaming is a luxury by this point. Games cost money, but when you get older and closer to the sweet embrace of nothingness you start to get a bit pickier with your time, and it only takes one bad game to leave you feel like you've wasted what time you have.

We review the games we can find the time to play and hope to provide some actual insight in to the games we think are worth your time or warn you about the ones that completely disrespect it.

We use the 'Informational' tag as a mid-point between recommended and not-recommended. We also only ever review the games we've played ourselves: there's none of that "we recommend this game releasing in 3 years time" horsecrap here. The only time we'll review games not yet available on steam is if we've been asked to review a pre-release version or have played a timed exclusive on another platform... though we generally stay away from EGS games.

We will always attempt to produce a curator review for pre-release games before they go on sale, and will write a full review ready to be published on the games store page when the game releases. You'll be able to identify these reviews as we will mention in the review that we were asked to review the game, and will mark the review with "This product was received for free".

Please note we will never let the receipt of free games influence us to review a game favourably unless we think it deserves the recommendation on the quality of the game itself.
