RECAP OF 2012 PART 2

But I guess the most exciting point in my year was that in November, I got back into making videos again. I have to thank Aliensoldier for motivating me to do one on Left 4 Dead, because I think otherwise I’d never had the intention of making one. It felt good to receive feedback, even it was small. But if I wanted to get back into YouTube, I wanted it to be a bit more exciting. And then I found the Yeousch Community to talk to others with the same interest: making videos and create lots of fun while doing them. It may sound silly that this might be the most exciting point for me, but if you look at the results (21 videos within 2 months), you can definitely tell it had some effect on me. YouTube became fun again, mostly because my mind wasn’t focused on money anymore, but also because I already made a little network with some people on Yeousch, and I’d love to continue networking with people. It gives a dimension on my YouTube career I have never experienced before, because mostly, it was just a one-man-crew, or sometimes Ray would be there, but in both cases: there was no big community to back me up while making videos, and now there is.

So what are my final words to say for 2012? Well for once, I haven’t had a single injury this year! A huge improvement over dislocating something in 2010 and in 2011. I’m grateful for still being healthy and the support I received from friends for both school and other stuff, like YouTube. I’m glad to say this year has been one to fully heal from all the ♥♥♥♥ that happened 2010 and 2011, especially with my mind now focused on finishing Bachelor in 2014. Yeah, sure, it’s still far away, but let’s just say 2013 is a big year to make progress on there, and 2012 was a nice running start.

I have this strange sensation 2013 is going to be a year where even more achievements will be reached. Seeing how my channel grew in just the last two months after my comeback (+25 subscribers), I have a feeling this will increase even further if I keep up with my current productivity. And maybe a nice bonus will come along my way, still I’m not rushing things. And since most people like my voice, and most girls find them sexy (seriously: what is this issue with my voice, ha!), I guess there’s no reason for me to stop now. Let’s just hope 2013 will be a year like 2012 health wise, but with less horrible events we’ve seen on the news. I’m not sure, but 2012 surely was a sad year for news events.

So that’s all I’ve got to say for 2012. Happy New Year, and be safe with fireworks. I don’t have any New Year’s Resolutions planned out, but there is one person I really pray for things will work out. Because if they don’t, I guess it’s going to be a sad start. So I want to say to all my buddies on Steam, Facebook, Twitter and Yeousch to cherish your lives. I know I sounded like Jigsaw there, but please: if I think back at all the things people have said to me to Steam about their issues, it really worries me to the point I could get sick. So please, I hope you’ll get some stability and happiness back to those who need it. Because it’ll be the best for both of us.

RECAP OF 2012 PART 1

2012 has been a solid year for the most part. Nothing too exciting has happened, but it wasn’t that boring either. It was solid in the way that I distanced myself quite effectively from some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. In January I had to focus already on the first big exams of my first year of University. And guess what: trough high concentration levels I actually passed all exams in my first semester. A great boost to start off my University career. It also was the month where I posted my most popular videos of the year, with very, very positive feedback (77 likes vs. 1 dislike). However, after those two videos, I kind died with YouTube. The curse of monetization was starting to hit the fan. Trapping myself into all these copyright laws and restrictions made my head spin so much that I didn’t feel the drive to make some videos for a while. So what did I decided to do? Just make sure I’d pass my first year of University so I could keep on going. It was my main priority after all.

And that’s exactly what I did. With 9 out of 10 subjects passed I got into 2nd year of University. And yeah, I need to re-do that one subject in 2013, but I’ll be okay. I almost got into another BIG drama when a group project I worked on was considered to be a fraud. It almost got to the point some legal ♥♥♥♥ was going to get down, but luckily this was resolved after an honest move by someone. So after that jumpscare, I could cool down a bit more and round up everything I needed to do for school.

See how I’m actually going a lot faster with this then in 2011? That was because 2011 was a big change for me and my lifestyle, but 2012 was less so. In 2012 it was sort of like a “get-used-to-it” year. Still living independently while attending college, it’s something that I’m kind of used to at this point. A little negative thing was that in the summer, I did absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Maybe because I had to relax more from my first year of University, but I’d admit I was kind of a lazy ass. While I was trying to get a job, nothing seemed to fit for me or I’d simply got rejected. “Get used to it.”

When it came to social aspects, like family and friends, it’s still a bit crappy to not see your old friends weekly or even monthly. But on social media, holy crap, some ♥♥♥♥’s been going down there. Now I don’t know what it is, but it seemed almost everyone on Steam I’ve been talking to the entire year seemed to hit some sort of massive depression, somewhere in 2012. From some I know why, from others I really don’t. So I guess that’s why I call this year “solid”, because I don’t believe the same has happened to me. Another move I did to get rid of more drama was to delete a person I’d simply refer to as KH. Ray, I can’t shout out the entire nickname, but I can see you’re laughing.

Losing a contact you’ve been talking to for about 1,5 years (well, minus the ignoring part it might be just over 6 months…) is still kinda sucky though. Anyways, back to September. Second year of University was starting again and again, I started out solid. The pressure got on though once I realized that if I ever got dropped out, there would be no chance to re-do my current study in 3 years. Why? Because it will never be provided again by the University due to its unpopularity. But guess what: I think this first semester has gone pretty solid as well.
